Naipe Español "Victoria ®" 3400 published by F.X. Schmid Argentina S.A., Aristóbulo del Valle 1257, Buenos Aires. 40 cards, made in Argentina by Cia Fabril Financiera S.A. Naipes "Victoria" was formerly a brand name belonging to Cia Fabril Financiera, but it now appears to be registered by Schmid Argentina S.A. The cards are identical including the gladiator logo on the four of cups and box. An F.X. Schmid logo has been added to the ace of swords and also the box. (Click image to enlarge) (Next page).

Founder and editor of the World of Playing Cards since 1996. He is a former committee member of the IPCS and was graphics editor of The Playing-Card journal for many years. He has lived at various times in Chile, England and Wales and is currently living in Extremadura, Spain. Simon's first limited edition pack of playing cards was a replica of a seventeenth century traditional English pack, which he produced from woodblocks and stencils.
