L'Hombre No.60
Dondorf's “L'Hombre No.60” was manufactured for the Danish firm Adolph Wulff of Copenhagen between c.1910-1930.
Dondorf GmBH: L'Hombre No.60
Dondorf's L'Hombre No.60 was manufactured for the Danish firm Adolph Wulff (1879-1948) of Copenhagen between the years c.1910-1930. Alongside the more lavish, luxury cards which Dondorf produced for the Danish market (see Luxuskarte No.75 & Whist No.80), this simpler pack was also produced. The artwork has strong lines and clear colour surfaces, depicting traditional double-ended court card designs, with miniature Danish indexes and suit symbols inserted into the borders. L'Hombre is a seventeenth-century card game which is still played in Denmark.
