Narren-Karte by Christian Heinrich Reuter, Nürnberg, c.1860

“Narren-Karte” or “Fool's Deck”, by Christian Heinrich Reuter. The Bavarian tax stamp on the Deuce of Hearts reads: “Mittelfranken 8 Kr”. Christian Heinrich Reuter, of Nürnberg (flourished between c.1820 - c.1865 or later) is known from various standard and non-standard packs. He appears to have been succeeded by L. Reuter in the 1890s.
