Diamond Playing Card (DPC Ltd)

“Designer Collection” by Diamond Playing Card (DPC Ltd) - possibly a division or distribution arm of Stancraft.

Above: dual-deck of “Designer Collection” by Diamond Playing Card (DPC Ltd), c.1970s. The two packs, each with two identical jokers, come in a plastic box. The lower tray in mottled brown with a metallic blue label, the upper lid in clear acrylic. The cards are plastic coated. Images courtesy Matt Probert.

Hochman mentions Diamond Card Co as a distributor for Perfection Playing Card Co, but it seems to be a different company that was absorbed by USPCC in c.1894. However, further research suggests that at a later date DPC were another division of the Brown and Bigelow playing card empire before USPCC took them over - which would explain the similarity in the courts and AS to other Hoyle/Stancraft/Brown and Bigelow packs.
