Souvenir pack made for the Malta Tourism Authority, Malta, c.2000.
A companion pack to the one called “Air Malta” on this site. Here, the emphasis is less on the airline. The same four designs appear on all the Kings (Grandmaster), Queens (Maltese Dame), Jacks (Soldier), and Aces (Air Malta) of each “suit”. An innovative feature is that each “suit” is in fact simply a different colour, with none of the traditional suit-signs present. However, all card games can still be played with the pack. The numeral cards have different colour photos of Malta, Gozo, and Comino. The Jokers are indicated by a Maltese cross in each corner. The corners are rounded and not square cut as they were in the “Air Malta” pack. On poor quality card. See the box►

In 1977 he joined the newly formed playing-card department at Stanley Gibbons in London before setting up his own business in Edinburgh four years later.
