This pack probably predates the one simply called “Garuda Indonesia”. Here the single-figure courts show men and women in traditional Indonesian costume, though the regions from which they come are not identified. Behind each figure is a building or homestead in grey, a different one for each set of court cards. The logo displayed on all the Aces was created in 1985 following a re-branding exercise. In 1977 he joined the newly formed playing-card department at Stanley Gibbons in London before setting up his own business in Edinburgh four years later.
