Pack issued to mark the 52nd French Table Tennis Championships held in Montpellier in 1979. The court cards have colour photos of male and female table tennis players in action. Each one is named in the white border at the bottom of the card. The other cards are plain. Indices: R, D, V, 1.

Above: Tennis de Table 52e Championnats de France, published by La Ducale (an imprint of Grimaud), 1979. 52 cards + 2 Jokers + 1 bridge score card + 1 blank card. Size: 55 x 84 mm.

Note: the arms on the backs of these cards are of Languedoc and of Roussillon. Languedoc-Roussillon was a French region between 1969 and 2016, thus covering the period when these championships took place, and the regional capital was Montpellier. That region has since joined up with Midi-Pyrénées to form Occitanie. - R.S.
