Prier Wintle (born 20 August 1924; died in 2009) was a British musician, orchestral horn player, consulting astrologer and writer. Born in Birmingham, England, he worked as a hospital orderly and porter before joining an orchestra. His life and work took him to New Zealand, where he lived for about 20 years, Cape Town in South Africa, and Edinburgh, where he studied piano tuning before returning to New Zealand. He contributed to astrological publications including Considerations, wrote on Tarot and Kabbalah. His book Elbert Benjamine's Astrological Attributions to the Tarot Trumps was first published in 1969.
