For an assignment I have to make a visual analysis of an image, in this case a work by Dondorf. The image and a selection of the name stated at the bottom can be found in the attachment. This is a porcelain card from the waiters of a café, which would have been used as a New Year's card for the year 1850. Unfortunately, there is no available information about the place of creation, the purpose, the circulation, or whether Dondorf made this regularly. or whether this is unique (because I only find information about playing cards at Dondorf). I was wondering if you, as an expert on Bernard Dondorf and playing cards, have more information about this piece or know someone or works who can provide more information about it.
Thank you very much and kind regards Jelte Jacops.
