Founded in Paris in 1848 by Baptiste-Paul Grimaud, B.P. Grimaud became France's foremost nineteenth-century playing-card manufacturer, renowned for the quality of its printing and its innovations in both playing and tarot cards. Acquired by Jean-Marie Simon in 1962, the Grimaud brand became part of France Cartes, and today survives within the Cartamundi group.
