I am a multi-disciplinary artist whose work often explores history and mythology. Playing cards are portable mythologies—compact, repeatable, and intimate. In this series I reassemble face cards and suits to reveal the archetypal roles they enact: sovereigns of desire, fools of truthfulness, ministers of thought. Each composition treats the card as both object and oracle; resin glazing arrests a moment of play and elevates it into a relic. Viewers are invited to read relationships between fragments rather than seek single answers. The work is a ritual of translation: mundane iconography becomes a map for ethical choice, emotional weather, and the material conditions that shape us. My recent playing card collages involve a meticulous process of deconstructing cards and reassembling them into complex geometric or symbolic patterns, which are finally sealed under thick layers of resin to create a glossy, sculptural finish.
