The Magician, Ten of Stakes and Nine of Pentacles show three of the pack's character-led tarot scenes within its red and purple border design.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer Tarot is a 78-card pack from Insight Editions, written by Casey Gilly and illustrated by Karl James Mountford. It renames Swords as Scythes and Wands as Stakes.

Broadcast from 1997 to 2003 over seven seasons, the Emmy-winning Buffy the Vampire Slayer follows Buffy Summers, a teenage vampire slayer. Insight Editions’ 2023 release is a commemorative 25th-anniversary edition.

The booklet says the deck can “help you understand your life’s direction” through “characters, artifacts, and significant moments” from Buffy’s world. It calls its twenty-two Major Arcana cards “the main characters of the deck”, each representing “a universal life lesson”.
