Wimmera Playing Cards
Different scenes from the Wimmera region of Victoria, Australia, drawn by Colin Daniels.
Artist and designer Colin Daniels created all the brown and cream illustrations especially for this pack. They depict aspects of the Wimmera region in the state of Victoria, renowned for its flora, fauna, and wilderness areas. Grain (hence the back design) and sheep are the main sources of income. This pack was a project of the Horsham Art Gallery Association, raising finance to house the Mack Jost Collection of Australian art. The cards have square corners and were locally printed (not on proper playing-card board). See the sleeve►
