1981 Australia Wimmera Mail-Times Colin Daniels Nature & Environment

Artist and designer Colin Daniels created all the brown and cream illustrations especially for this pack. They depict aspects of the Wimmera region in the state of Victoria, renowned for its flora, fauna, and wilderness areas. Grain (hence the back design) and sheep are the main sources of income. This pack was a project of the Horsham Art Gallery Association, raising finance to house the Mack Jost Collection of Australian art. The cards have square corners and were locally printed (not on proper playing-card board). See the sleeve

His collecting interests include playing cards, postcards, stamps (especially playing cards on stamps) and sugar wrappers. He is a Past President of the Scottish Philatelic Society, a former Chairman of the IPCS, a Past Master of the Worshipful Company of Makers of Playing Cards and Curator of the WCMPC’s collection of playing cards. He lives near Toulouse in France.
