Eves Playing Cards
A pack of cards with colour photos of Indian film stars from the era
Shown here is a pack of playing cards named 'Eves Playing Cards' which depicts photos of Bollywood film stars on all the cards.
The pack was printed by Pawan Printers & Mfts., Mayapuri, New Delhi in India in the early 1980's. The pack has 52 cards and 2 jokers (Stars). I have no idea why it is titled 'Eves', possibly named after a well known person.
Every card shows a colour photos of an Indian Bollywood film star, the majority being female. Once again I have no idea who they all are and their names are not shown on the cards.
The pack is of poor quality & design which is often typical for cards from India in this period.

I'm British but I have now lived in the Netherlands for more than 50 years and am still enjoying every minute of it. I started collecting playing cards in the early 1980’s after speaking with my neighbour who was at that time a croupier in a casino. I started with just collecting jokers, but that soon led me to complete packs of cards and eventually to specialising in old and antique playing cards, particularly those of C.L. Wüst of Frankfurt, Germany. I am presently the Dutch representative of the I.P.C.S. and the auctioneer at the IPCS conventions.
