Warner Bros 100th Anniversary
An array of famous characters from Warner Bros films in celebration of the company’s centenary.
It is often difficult to bring unity to a diverse range of characters all featured in one pack of cards. However, that has been achieved here, partly by the use of colour and partly by the well-worn device of giving the characters traditional playing-card elements, e.g., outfits or central bands decorated with multiple suit-signs. The result is a fitting tribute to the most celebrated series to have come out of the Warner Bros. Discovery studios including Willy Wonka, Superman, Harry Potter, Scooby-Doo, Wonder Woman, Elf, Batman, Tom & Jerry, Bugs Bunny, The Wizard of Oz, and The Lord of the Rings. A few of the double-ended designs are different at either end. The fact that the individual characters lack facial features is barely noticeable. References to different characters can be found on the reverse. The print quality and finish are superb, as you would expect from Theory11 who pride themselves on producing “the world’s finest playing cards”. The box is partly embossed with gold foil
