In 1946 "Naipes El Navío" were still being produced with square corners by La Cubana S.A. Sucesora de P. Munguia e Hijos Sus, with earlier designs. These designs, loosely based on the Castilian designs of Heraclio Fournier, Vitoria (Spain), were subsequently modernised.
