SCAC Jean Picart le Doux
A Jean Picart le Doux pack with a sea theme.
SCAC Jean Picart le Doux is a 1955 business pack by Jean Picart le Doux. It is the first of his three card games and the least known of the three, with a sea theme that gives it a quiet but distinctive character.
The S.C.A.C. entity cannot be definitively identified. It may have been a guild society, as the presentation card says that the game was printed at the Compagnons du Devoir printing house, a network of artisanal excellence now part of France's intangible cultural heritage.
Jean Picart le Doux (1902-1982) was a French painter and tapestry artist involved in the revival of contemporary tapestry, and a grand master of Aubusson tapestry.
The game's theme is the sea, and it bears a striking resemblance to the Four Seasons game created by Picart nine years later in 1964.
It comes as a double deck in a cardboard box with a gray velvet interior. The pack contains 52 cards, 2 jokers, a blank card and a presentation card, with gilt edges and a card size of 87 x 52 mm.

Above: the number cards, with the jokers and information card, which says the pack was offered by S.C.A.C. to its friends and specially created by J. Picart le Doux.
