A Dutch Railways pack with an unusually elongated format.

1996 NetherlandsRailwayTransformationTransportFrançois Gervais

NS Reizigers Promotion is a 1996 Dutch Railways promotional pack illustrated by François Gervais, who had previously created a deck for the same company. The elongated format gives the cards an unusual stretched look, while the railway theme gives the pack a clear corporate identity.

This is a special deck designed for the Dutch Railways. Each card includes a railway track in its design, and the result could be described as a transformation pack, although the inclusion of the pips is more stylized than fully integrated, in my opinion.

The artwork is particularly original, an effect enhanced by the card format. The stretched proportions make the design feel more graphic than conventional, and the deck has two jokers and a presentation card.

The deck was intended for foreign business partners working for the Dutch Railways. Some sources mention that it is a limited edition of 300 copies, but the presentation card does not specify this. It comes in a plastic box and measures 55 x 128 mm.
