Garuda Indonesia Airline
Souvenir pack from Garuda Indonesia, the national airline of Indonesia, c.1985.
This pack probably predates the one simply called “Garuda Indonesia”. Here the single-figure courts show men and women in traditional Indonesian costume, though the regions from which they come are not identified. Behind each figure is a building or homestead in grey, a different one for each set of court cards. The logo displayed on all the Aces was created in 1985 following a re-branding exercise. Slightly elongated pips. Backs: logo repeated 70 times. See the box►
Above: souvenir pack from Garuda Indonesia Airline, c.1985. 52 cards + 2 Jokers in tuck box. Maker unknown.
