Queen of Hearts card game
Alice in Wonderland card game featuring Disney characters on king-size cards.
Walt Disney’s animated film version of Alice in Wonderland dates from as long ago as 1951. Five of the characters from it are depicted on the cards in this unusual set from 1975 which comprises 36 cards: Ace to 9 in all the suits except hearts where the 9 has been replaced by the Queen of Hearts. Other than the QH, the cards feature Alice (D), White Rabbit (H), Mad Hatter (C) and March Hare (S). The cards are an unusual size and shape, being about twice normal size and with a rounded top just below which is a large suit-sign with a funny face. Before play begins, the cards have to be pressed out of a large sheet. The instructions for playing two special card games for children aged 6 to 12 are included. • See the box
