A selection of Mario Testino’s photographic work in various fields, notably fashion.

Mario Testino (b.1954) is a Peruvian fashion and portrait photographer whose work has appeared internationally in magazines such as Vogue, Vanity Fair and GQ. This pack was produced to celebrate Mario Testino’s exhibition ‘Portraits’ held at the National Portrait Gallery in London between February and June 2002. Most of the photographs are in colour, with just a few in black and white. The subjects range from fashion and the human body to landscapes, cityscapes and fireworks. The images are borderless, with the suits and indices superimposed on the photos themselves.

Roddy started collecting stamps on his 8th birthday. In 1977 he joined the newly formed playing-card department at Stanley Gibbons in London before setting up his own business in Edinburgh four years later. His collecting interests include playing cards, postcards, stamps (especially playing cards on stamps) and sugar wrappers. He is a Past President of the Scottish Philatelic Society, a former Chairman of the IPCS, a Past Master of the Worshipful Company of Makers of Playing Cards and Curator of the WCMPC’s collection of playing cards. He lives near Toulouse in France.
