Paco Lobo
Highly original and striking designs by Paco Lobo for the fashion house of the same name.
Leather goods and accessories are Paco Lobo’s stock-in-trade. That much is clear from his highly original and striking designs featuring drawings of fashion models in 1980’s gear. The colours red and black predominate. The names of the court cards are spelt out in full in English and poker inglés appears on the title card. For the pips, both a non-standard design and a non-standard arrangement have been adopted, leaving much of each card blank. The Joker design, too, is strong and bold. Alberto Cabornero and Juan Berrio are named on the title card as collaborators on this project.
Above: Paco Lobo playing cards made by Heraclio Fournier, S.A., Vitoria, Spain, for Paco Lobo, 1985. 52 cards + 2 (identical) Jokers + 1 title card in clear plastic box. Size: 63 x 88 mm.
