Tarot Familiars
Lisa Parker’s Tarot Familiars gives the traditional 78-card tarot a distinctly gothic world of cats, creatures and witchcraft.

Tarot Familiars is a 78-card tarot by Lisa Parker, published by Fournier. It follows the traditional tarot structure, but wraps its courts, Major Arcana and numbered cards in Parker’s animal-centred fantasy scenes.
In folklore and fantasy, a familiar is an animal companion associated with a witch or other magical figure.
Tarot Familiars is a classically 2000s goth pack, placing those companions in moonlit interiors of candles and black lace.
The publisher calls it a deck of “charm, magic, mystery and symbolism”. On Judgement, an orange cat sits at a table set with tarot cards. Wheel of Fortune has a Ouija board, and the Tower gives its flying owl a pentagram talisman. In the courts, cats and owls appear with crystal balls and books, see the box .
