Colourful cards for children with four non-standard suits connected with the natural world.

1991 United Kingdom Paul Lamond Games Childhood Nature & Environment

Sometimes, in order to obtain an interesting pack of cards, it is necessary to buy a larger, boxed set of games or perhaps a book. The cards shown here were never sold separately but rather as part of a bumper pack of games and puzzles. The black suits are tadpoles and birds’ eggs, while starfish and ladybirds can be found on the red ones. The court cards and Jokers represent amphibians, birds, sea creatures and insects, all depicted light-heartedly and colourfully in a manner designed to appeal to children. The target audience for this boxed set was kids aged 4 to 7 • see the outer box
