22 Artisti Liguri in 22 Arcani
Collaborative set of major arcana devoted to Christopher Columbus and his voyages of discovery.
Christopher Columbus grew up on the coast of the Italian region of Liguria (capital: Genoa) so it is appropriate that this set of major arcana should comprise works by 22 different Ligurian artists. The artists were given free rein to interpret the subject matter – Christopher Columbus and his voyages of discovery – in any way they wished. An explanation of some of the artists’ choices of subject is given in Italian on the extra card, with further details in the booklet. Among the artists are Pier Canosa (2) and Osvaldo Menegazzi (19), the publisher of numerous Tarot packs under the “Ed. Il Meneghello” label. These giant-size cards have square corners and plain backs. This was a numbered edition of 2,000 packs • See the outer cover
