Geomancy and playing cards - a match meant to be
Playing cards are made of dualities...
Playing cards are made of dualities. The red and black, the male and female and the odd and even weave the fabric of cards. And in these we find our own dualistic nature reflected. But we also find something else. Ever heard of Divinatory Geomancy?
Divinatory geomancy is an ancient science that in many ways speaks the same language as playing cards. It is composed of what are called Geomantic figures, and like playing cards, these figures are made of dualities. The figures have been there all along, each time we have laid out cards. But like so many things, how easy it is to look and not see.
Geomancy turns out to be the perfect compliment to cartomancy.
This video is actually a follow up to a previously published video on youtube, “Intro to Geomancy with Cards”. The information in both of these videos is covered in “The Playing Card Oracles, A Source Book for Divination” and “The Doors of Somlipith, A New Dimension in Card Reading”. Both include real life examples of using playing cards to create Geomantic Figures, with worksheets so you can practice and check your work.
And always remember, no need for ready-made geomantic cards: THE MAGIC is in THE CREATION of the Geomantic Figures. Thanks for watching!
