Parfums Gianni Versace
Advertising pack for Gianni Versace perfumes.
Suitably stylish designs, as befits a world-renowned fashion house. The courts look as if they have jumped straight off the page of the great designer’s sketchbook. Versace started marketing perfume in 1981 so this pack must date from shortly thereafter (and certainly before 1985). The same perfume bottle is shown on all the Aces. The Joker also holds a bottle of perfume. Grey backgrounds throughout. The classy look is maintained on the pip cards and on the navy blue and gold box►
Above: advertising pack for Gianni Versace perfumes printed by Héron/Boéchat and published by Editions Dusserre, Paris, France, c.1982. 52 cards + 3 (identical) Jokers in tuck box. Size: 57 x 87 mm.
NOTE: I can't be sure of the exact date of this one but it must be between 1981 (when Versace started selling perfume) and 1985 (when French telephone numbers ceased to have 7 digits - there's a 7-digit number on the bottom of the box) - Roddy.
