Baraja Cultura Española
ASESCOIN pack for 2022 designed by M.A. Corella featuring famous Spaniards and notable buildings.
By depicting a different cultural celebrity at each end of every court card and three more on the Jokers, the artist Miguel A. Corella has managed to include 27 famous Spaniards from the fields of art, architecture, literature and music. These branches of culture are further celebrated on the 4s. Famous buildings can be found on the aces (double-ended) and 2s (single-ended). All the subjects are named. The pips consist of two shades of red or black (barely visible on the black suits). On the back there is a reference to Velázquez’ “Infanta Margarita Teresa in a Blue Dress” and also to Don Quixote by Cervantes. This was a numbered edition of 500 packs.
