Saint Tropez is at the western end of the French Riviera. An old fishing village, from the 1950s it became known as a seaside resort much frequented by the international jet set including Brigitte Bardot. It counts six beaches along its 12 kilometres of coastline. The colour photographs in this pack were taken by J.L. Vignoli (with the collaboration of B.J.T. Powell). Each view is named in French and English: some of them are quite amusing commentaries about life in the town. On the back is a pattern of flags and pennants in red and white, the colours of the flag of Saint Tropez. See the box
