Fried Chicken Playing Cards
This innovative chicken-themed concept combines playing cards with the aroma of fried chicken.
Fried Chicken Scented Playing Cards by MakePlayingCards.com (MPC) provide a distinctive sensory experience by incorporating the smell of fried chicken into a deck of playing cards. According to MPC, the cards contain soy-based microcapsules with fried chicken fragrant essence oil, which release the scent when handled. I found the fragrance is potent and easily transfers onto hands and surfaces.
The card designs feature fried chicken elements, replacing traditional pips with four popular chicken pieces - wings, drumsticks, thighs and nuggets. The court cards show kings, queens, and jacks holding chicken pieces. The tuck box, crafted from 100% recycled paper, carries the scent as well. Both jokers show fried chicken buckets, also incorporating the deck's theme.
Limited to 1,000 decks, the Fried Chicken Playing Cards were successfully funded on Kickstarter, with 299 backers pledging HK$ 89,114 ($11,364 USD) to bring this innovative concept to life.
