Jeu de Tarot Astérix
A French Tarot game pack with Astérix and friends on all the trump cards.
On each of the trump cards in this Tarot game pack there are two scenes from Astérix comic books complete with accompanying text (bubbles). Cacofonix is depicted playing his lyre on the “Excuse” card. The whole effect is very colourful. Standard French Tarot designs are used on all the remaining cards (courts and pips). On the back are some of the many onomatopoeic words (Pif!, Paf, Boum!, Tchonk!, etc.) found in the cartoons. See the box►
Above: Jeu de Tarot Astérix made and published by France Cartes, Saint-Max, France, 1997. 78 cards + 1 title card + 1 extra card (with card values in the game) + leaflet of rules in French, in tuck box. Size: 60 x 113 mm. © 1997 Les Editions Albert René / Goscinny-Uderzo.
