Il Vostro Destino
Italian fortune-telling pack produced by Viassone and later by Masenghini.
First produced by Viassone of Turin in 1968¹, this pack was later taken on by Masenghini of Bergamo² after Viassone went out of business in c1980, before being marketed by Dal Negro in the 2000s. The fifty-two different designs cover all the subjects one would expect to find in a traditional fortune-telling pack. The card value is given in the top left-hand corner with indices in Italian. There is a title in Italian at the foot of each card. Masenghini’s name appears on the Ace of Hearts where Viassone’s once did. The back pattern, including sun’s rays, is in bright yellow and black.

29 July 2024, 08:47There exists a first version from Viassone with different drawings from around 1940. Viassone began around 1950 publishing a redrawn version, based on the drawings from the first edition. I have a set stamped 1954. Later Viassone made some changes to the deck. Certain titles were changed, and some illustrations changed their references to different playing card values.
