Shearing the Sheep, or £ s. d., published by J. Jaques & Son, c.1875. The game consists of three suits; Gold, Silver and Bronze, which rank according to their value. Play involves taking tricks and paying into or winning counters from the pool. See the Rules►
There are no sheep missing! The sheep that are fleeced are your opponents in the game.
Gold: 8 Half Sovereign cards, 7 Sovereign cards.


Silver: 8 Sixpence cards, 5 Shilling cards, 3 Florin cards.


Bronze: 8 Farthing cards, 5 Halfpenny and 5 Penny cards.
