Angel of the Day

Angel of the Day is a 40-card oracle by Travis McHenry, published by Rockpool in 2024, built around angels of the Shem HaMephorash.

The box says, “The ultimate goal of these cards is to inspire you to become the best version of yourself.” It credits McHenry for the text and images, and Sara Lindberg at Rockpool for the design, see the box .

Kabbalah is a body of Jewish mystical teaching. The Shem HaMephorash is a Kabbalistic name linked with a group of angels. Each card names an angel and gives a short message on its face; its individual sigil is printed on the reverse.

Achaiah, Daniel and Iabamiah are among the names on the cards. Daniel asks, “Have you a decision to make? Weigh your options with Daniel to find the path.” The illustrated faces combine winged figures, red linework and circular name fields.

Rockpool describes the cards as “40 inspirational messages” and suggests drawing one “after waking up each morning”.

Demon of the Day is McHenry's companion release in the same Rockpool Mini Cards format. It puts named demons into the same forty-card daily format. Angel of the Day applies it to angels associated with the Shem HaMephorash.
