George Cansdale’s Pets card game, illustrated by Racey Helps, was published by Pepys Games in 1955. George Cansdale (1909 – 1993) was a popular TV wildlife presenter who, from the 1960s onwards, was a regular guest on ‘Blue Peter’. For some reason the game was re-published in 1962 as ‘Family Favourites’ without George Cansdale’s endorsement. The only change was the box, the cards are the same.
